About Us

Horsley FC     FA Charter Standard     Community Charter Standard

Horsley Football Club was founded in 1903 at the existing site in Long Reach, West Horsley, Surrey, originally to play senior football locally.

Over the last 100+ years the club has developed and grown substantially, now including teams from 5 year olds, through all age groups to under 18, two senior teams and a veterans side. The clubs aim is to provide the opportunity for youths and adults of all abilities to play competitive football in a safe, controlled, and friendly environment.

The ground has also grown in that time from the original single pitch to today's facilities which includes two full size pitches, two youth pitches (one for 11v11 and one for 9v9) and four mini pitches. In 2014 after hard work, a huge investment by the club and support from the Football Foundation we were able to build our own floodlit 3G astro-turf training pitch to go alongside the grassed training area at the club. We are very fortunate to have such excellent facilities and playing surfaces.

In 2009 Horsley Football Club was granted FA Charter Standard Club status and we are now one of the Surrey Football Associations official Coach Education venues aiding in the training and development of grass roots football locally.

In September 2012 Horsley Football Club was named as a Community Club by Fulham Football Club. This prestigious award gives the club closer links with the Premier League side including the opportunity for our coaches to visit Fulham's training ground for coaching sessions and education to develop their own coaching skills.

In December 2012 Horsley Football Club became an FA Charter Standard Community Club. This is the pinnacle of the FA's development strategy and only 460 clubs out of a total of over 4000 in the UK have achived this status. In 2013 Horsley FC was proud to be awarded Surrey FA Charter Standard Community Club of the year.

All teams have FA Qualified coaches who carry at least Level 1 FA Coaching Certification, have attended First Aid & Child Protection workshops and have been through CRB verification. Today we have nearly 30 teams and over 400 players playing at youth level in the Epsom & Ewell, Surrey Primary and South Surrey Leagues and our senior teams in the Surrey Elite Intermediate League.

We encourage everyone involved with the Club – players, coaches, parents, and spectators – to help us ensure the football is competitive, challenging, and most importantly enjoyable. Training is offered to all volunteers that are interested in becoming a coach, manager or other vital helpers at the club.

We welcome players of all abilities at the club although as a measure of our success we often have waiting lists for many of our age groups. If you are interested in joining the club please get in touch via the contact us page.

The Club is run by volunteers and managed by a committee of experienced and enthusiastic parents.
