Horsley FC Charity & Community Work
Horsley U13 hosted some special VIP guest at training recently. U13 bullets player Harry Young had two exchange students visiting from South Africa who were invited to a training session.
Chervandre & Anathi were given Horsley FC kit and equipment for the session and the U13’s made them very welcome.
The exchange scheme was arranged by Ripley Court School, through the charities Touraid - www.touraid.org and www.unitedthroughsport.org. Chervandre & Anathi are from very poor backgrounds and were chosen because of their sporting abilities and the leadership potential. U13 coach Michael Stuart also gave the boys gifts and an entire Horsley FC team kit for them to take back to South Africa.
The club regularly donates its old kit to good causes and this season is no different with a significant amount of kit being donated to KitAid a charity that distributes it to underprivileged children throughout some of the poorest countries and regions of the world, more information can be found at www.kitaid.net.
